TEHRAN (IQNA) – The greatest source of energy in humans is love and kindness. It is a source that never runs out and nothing threatens it.

Moses (AS) talking to his peope

That is why studying it in the educational method of prophets is very important.

In addition to food, water, air, etc, mankind needs kindness and love. Kindness is a factor that bonds people and creates cohesion among them. Without it, no connection would be created between people, no one would assume the responsibility for caring for others and there would be no self-sacrifice and no equality.

The power of love and compassion is also important and effective in religious education. If it is used properly and in a balanced way, it would play a major role in helping people grow personally and spiritually.

The best kind of education is one which involves compassion and love. God, the Al-Mighty, adorned His messenger with the method of love and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) succeeded in religious education of people with the use of this method.

One should not forget though that the importance of the method of kindness and love is that it brings about obedience. That is, when a person’s love enters another’s heart, he would become obedient and a follower of that person.

So there is no method as effective and beneficial as the method of love and compassion.

Prophet Moses (AS) used this method by showing compassion and mercy to his people a lot.

He even got into a confrontation with the rulers of the time in order to save his people.

After he saved the Bani Isra’il, Moses (AS) against showed kindness to the people despite their complaints, seeking excuses and other bad behaviors.

God says in Verse 86 of Surah Taha:

“With great anger and sorrow, Moses returned to his nation. ‘My nation,’ he said, ‘did your Lord not make you a fine promise? Did the time of the covenant seem long to you? Or did you desire that the anger of your Lord should fall upon you so that you failed in your coming to my appointment?’”

He spoke to his people with kindness and compassion to enhance a close and cordial relation with the people.
